Strengthen Yourself

Everyone has times of difficulty and distress. There are times when it feels lonely and the whole world is against us. If there is one thing I could tell the weary today, it's this: Learning to strengthen oneself in the eternal, loving God and to converse with your creator is a precious life-giving skill that will never fail you. You can begin today if you have never done it. It is never too late. Some of you have lost this aspect of your relationship with him that you had in the beginning. For you dear ones, you can easily return. He is waiting. Moreover David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all the people were embittered, each one because of his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God. Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech, "Please bring me the ephod." So Abiathar brought the ephod to David. David inquired of the Lord, saying, "Shall I pursue this band? Shall I overtake them?" And He said to him, "Pursue, for you will surely overtake them, and you will surely rescue all.
