De-Clutter Your Personal Space

De-Clutter_Your_Personal_Space_BP_Image_1024x1024.jpg

How do you know who or what is whispering in your ear?

If your Offense is speaking, you can't say or hear one positive thing about who or what is offending you.

If your Defense is speaking, you're having a conversation in your head about how you will respond when they do this or say that.

Our hearing may lack clarity when we have those things cluttering our 5 senses and our thoughts.

Those things have a tendency to pollute our relationships and connections.

There is so much more goodness to be heard from Heaven and our loved ones.

De-clutter your personal space today.

It may be time for a deep cleaning.

Be blessed as you learn to rest in a clean atmosphere.

Freedom Demonstrates the Love of God

Freedom_Demonstrates_the_Love_of_God_25323230-441b-4d04-8309-5c16ed698adc_1024x1024.png

How do we demonstrate the extravagant love of God?

It’s through freedom.

It's allowing people to be who they are, who God created them to be, cultivating that and releasing them to do it, whatever that looks like.

Yes, it can get messy. If we create a culture of forgiveness and freedom, when it gets messy, we can clean up our own messes as well as help someone else clean theirs up.

It’s what Jesus did with his disciples. Jesus' disciples were allowed to question things, ask questions and try stuff. I've said this a million times, but in the great commission Jesus acknowledged their unbelief and hardness of heart. In the very next vs. he releases them to go into the whole world.

Jesus demonstrated incredible trust in his disciples. He gave them responsibility for humanity. Jesus entrusted them with the gospel message and believed in their ability to represent him. Jesus gave his disciples stewardship of the kingdom of God and the care of the earth, regardless of their human frailty, current state and ability to perform.

We need to get over the performance thing. Love costs something, and if it doesn't cost something, it is a convenience and not a covenant. A contract is broken when one or both parties fails in regards to the terms of the agreement and success is based on performance and not relationship. A covenant says, I will give 100% regardless of the other party's ability to produce or give back.

Covenant is a commitment to love radically, dream incessantly and pursue passionately until . . . Not only do we need that kind of love, as followers of Christ we are obligated to give that kind of love. What does that look like today? A lot of what I teach here is to provoke you in some ways, not to provoke you to anger, but to provoke you to pursue God with everything that you are.

What does provoking you look like? As my dear friend Tyler Johnson would say, it would mean, "having a barbeque". Barbequing the sacred cows, because we all have them don't we?”

It's time for a change in the way we operate in the kingdom of God in a way that advances people so that they can advance the kingdom in the way that he created them.

When we as leaders, connect people with the Holy Spirit and allow him to do His work, He will lead them into all truth. He will produce inside of them the fruits of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who [k]belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

The Holy Spirit is much more efficient at this than we ever could be.

What does love look like?

Caterpillars and Butterflies

Caterpillars_and_Butterflies_BP_Image_1024x1024.jpeg

The truth of Christ is unchanging.

Yet the face of our faith in Him will transform into various expressions.

His transforming power continues to shape and mold who we are and who we are becoming.

Patience in the transformation process is key to revival and resurrection power being made tangible on this life.

I confess.

I hang out with sinners.

Jesus did too.

His key to hanging out with sinners was that he didn't see them as sinners.

We are all caterpillars in a cocoon being transformed into butterflies.

I believe Jesus sees the butterflies and has his eyes on the caterpillars.

He loves them both.

He has a plan for them all.

Embrace the process.

Celebrate the face and it's various expressions.

Enjoy the view.
