The Common Table Journal by Toni Imsen

Welcome!

In seasons of change we find ourselves reflecting on our lives. I find myself in a season of reflection but looking forward with hope.

I am curious. I am interested in what motivates people. I am an observer and a learner and I want to talk about it all, even the things no one wants to talk about, or dares to talk about. The things that make us thrive, what we care about, what drives us to speak and laugh and cry and grieve. Those are the topics I want to explore.

At this stage of the game, my husband and I are caring for aging parents, maintaining relationships with our adult children and finding new ways to love our grandchildren. As business owners, we are in the thick of it all daily. Family, friends, faith, culture, politics and the state of our freedom are ever changing and making demands on our thoughts, our attention, and our affections. All of these make withdrawals on our souls. I want to leave an impression and make a deposit on our collective souls for the good.

My articles may show up as poetry, art, and short story. Occasionally, you’ll find devotionals, prayers, words of encouragement, dreams, visions and tales of the activities of Heaven. For more about this, see About Toni.

Stay tuned and join me as we explore life notes in a journal style.
